How fit do I need to be to ride on a Skinny Tyres trip?

You do not need to be a super fit to enjoy a Skinny Tyres trip. You should be comfortable with rides of longer distance and riding times of up to 6 hours. Our flexible approach to guiding and support means we do not regroup on the road, so you can ride at your own pace and not worry about riding with others in a group.

What do I need to bring?

We advise you to bring your own bike that you are most comfortable cycling longer distances on. It should be in good mechanical order and it is recommended that you have it serviced prior to your trip

If you are arriving by flight it is recommended that you do not pack your clothing, shoes, helmet and pedals with your bike. In the unlikely event that your bike does not arrive with your flight, we can source a replacement bike for you as required, but cannot provide clothing and helmets.

A helmet which you should wear at all times when out on the road. You should also be prepared with clothing for all weathers. Scotland has been known to have all 4 seasons in one day including snow up in the mountains in the middle of Summer. Bring long-fingered gloves, overshoes and other wet weather gear. We can carry as much extra clothing in our ride vehicle as you feel you may need including a spare change of clothes which we advise.

    Can I stay longer?

Additional days to your trip can be booked if you would like to add days at either end of your stay. Please contact us at ride@skinnytyres.com for full details.
