    Welcome to Scotland

Our mission at Skinny Tyres is to introduce you to the best road cycling routes in Scotland. From the saddle, you will get a chance to ride alongside beautiful beaches with Atlantic waves crashing onto the sand and into wild mountains sculpted by millennia of tectonic forces, glaciers and ice sheets, landslides, frost, wind, and rivers. Our unique level of support with our fully customised vans means you can pedal at your own pace and expect a high level of support.

    The Hebridean Island Hopper

The Hebridean Island Hopper gives you an opportunity to cycle on some of the best roads in the Hebridean islands. Using seven ferries to link our cycling journey we will travel 330 miles from Barra to North Uist, then onto the Isle of Skye and Mull as well as riding through the ancient landscapes of Moidart and Ardnamurchan. We will cycle over famous passes such as the Quiraing on Skye and the Bealach mam Ratagan.

Skinny Tyres guided cycle tour of the Hebridean Islands

Cycling on the Hebridean Islands and Atlantic Coast of Scotland is an amazing experience. Along the way, we will support you with our customised van and experienced guides, ensuring that you have an amazing cycling holiday.

We recommend five days for the ride through these incredible islands, allowing you time to take in the beautiful beaches and scenery. This ride is all about the experience: the wild landscapes, still dominated by neolithic sites; the journey, rather than the destination; the Gaelic culture and the sense of history that oozes from every rock, beach and loch.
