Summary

A slightly more relaxed weekend taking in some amazingly quiet roads and stunning scenery around Highland Perthshire. The mileage is slightly less than our other trips, but the challenge remains. If you are new to road riding or sportives and want to build up the miles then this is the trip for you. As with all our trips our experienced guides will support you and give you guidance on bunch riding and how best to take advantage of “riding on a wheel”

Itinerary

Friday evening

Arrive, settle in. Group talk about the next two days riding. You will also have a chance to relax and use the varied leisure facilities of the Atholl Palace Hotel including the swimming pool, resistance and aerobic gym, spa facilities and a full size snooker table

Saturday

Starting at 11am this trip leaves Pilochry via the Moulin Climb. A stiff pull up, followed by a round trip of 40miles and a total of 4,800ft of climbing. This is no slog of a route though. You’ll find yourself flying down Strath Ardle and into Glen Shee. A 15 mile circuit will then take us back into Strath Ardle for a short climb and then a gloriously fast descent back into Pitlochry

Sunday

Starting at 11am this trip will take in the stunningly quiet roads around Glen Errochty and Loch Tummel. A total distance of 44 miles and 4000ft of climbing. There are no major climbs, but a steady rolling course with a few long drags will see that your legs get a good workout.

Monday

Breakfast at the hotel and return home.

Additional days riding can be arranged to extend your trip. Please contact Skinny Tyres for details.
